A Mystical View of Letters, Crowns, Vowels & Tropes

Jewish mystics read the same words of Torah as does anyone else.

Yet to them these sacred shapes and sounds testify to higher realities than is ordinarily perceived.

Over Shabbat, we will open up this treasury of esoteric meaning based primarily on the work of Moshe Cordevero.                                                          

Some of the consonants in the aleph-bet are adorned with crowns.

The words are read with vowels and with musical notes that are unseen in the Torah scroll.

Letters, crowns, vowels, and tropes testify to higher and higher possibilities in our spiritual lives.

 Saturday June 12^th – Learning & Seudah Shlishit (3^rd Meal) 7:00 PM Rabbi Lewis on Vowels and Tropes: Reaching Ever Higher – Part 2; Followed by Havdalah
